Tibetan Smoke Offering Riwo Sangchöd

  • 1511 Center Street Little Rock, AR, 72202 United States (map)

Join us on the cusp of the Lunar New Year for the Tibetan smoke offering of Riwo Sangchöd. Please let me know you are attending by reserving your seat. Thank you.

“It is a practice of generosity and offering that frees your heart and inspires your generosity to others. It is a practice of prosperity that also brings you confidence. It is a practice of healing through which you repay all your karmic debts and heal your relationships. Riwo Sangchöd is also a practice of purification in which all your obscurations are purified and burned away in the sang offering. You purify the outer pollution (environmental degradation, disharmony, and physical sickness); you purify the inner pollution (negative emotions, blockages in your channels and imbalances in our energy); you purify the secret pollution (fundamental ignorance).” - Sogyal Rinpoche

We will begin with a heart meditation to open our hearts to our loved ones, family, friends, others in our local and global community so that our offering will be shared with all beings who are experiencing suffering.

Dudjom Rinpoche used to say that Riwo Sangchö is one of the most powerful practices for benefiting both the living and the deceased because, in this practice, we make offerings to everyone with whom we have a karmic connection, alive or dead. By making offerings—both real and imagined—we satisfy the needs of all beings and thereby make good the damage caused over many lifetimes to ourselves and others, thereby removing obstacles to our health and life, healing our connections with others and setting them onto the path to enlightenment. Through this practice we also create auspicious circumstances for our spiritual progress.

Kaycie will lead the Riwo Sangchöd and you will have the opportunity to join in the chanting.

You are invited to consider bringing a flower for the altar.

Donations are accepted.
